Over 400 Student Athletes and Student Leaders gathered together for the first of what promises to be many “Iron Horse Sportsmanship” dinner. Members of the Ogden and Ben Lomond High School; Football, Cheerleader, Drill Team, Band/Bagpipe and Student Government teams and groups came together as a prelude to the 66th annual Iron Horse Football game that will be played Thursday in Stewart Stadium on the Weber State University campus at 7:30 PM.
Those in attendance had the pleasure to listen to Dave Brown, long time teacher and football coach at Ogden High School. Coach Brown talked to all in attendance but especially told the football players and told them that they may forget most of the games they play in but they’ll always remember all of the Iron Horse games that have the honor to be a part of. He also encouraged them to maintain the friendships that were apparent between the opponents at the gathering.
For those planning to attend the game, you are strongly encouraged to purchase your tickets in advance at either of the 2 high schools. There is a large construction project at the stadium and having your ticket in hand when you arrive will expedite your entry into the game. Tickets can also be purchased online. Also, as a reminder, just as we had last year there will be a security station at each entrance where all bags being brought into the stadium will be checked.
